D2000 CfgSynchro - synchronization
Program D2000 CfgSynchro offers 3 ways of synchronization:
- Database update
- Complete synchronization of configuration databases
- Complete synchronization of configuration databases in redundant system
Differences between individual types lie in initial configuration of copying objects from one database to the other. All copy request generated in this phase are considered to be generated by user.
Process D2000 CfgSynchro keeps a list of objects that are not to be
synchronized. The list is fully administered by user. The initial setting of copy requests take this list
into account and if it is not necessary for any other reason
(copying an object and creating a backup and
copying an object as a backup), the object is
not included into copying. User is notified about this event.
In order to help to orientate oneself in the configuration databases are called Left and Right *.
All following chapters and subchapters assume copying from the Right to the Left configuration
database.
* This terminology is supported in the user interface of the D2000 CfgSynchro as well,
by arranging the information and control buttons (on the left or on the right side).
