The Trayport protocol is designed to communicate with the Trayport Joule electronic trading solution for energy markets (formerly the Trayport Gateway Server).
The communication is implemented as a dynamic library (trayport.dll) for Windows, which creates an interface to the Trayport COM object and implements external functions available from ESL scripts. Therefore, communication with Trayport does not use the D2000 KOM process but is implemented via ESL scripts.
Trayport.dll implements event prioritization (e.g. Trade events have higher priority than Order events) to optimize work under heavy loads.
For more information about the Trayport protocol, contact Ipesoft's sales department.
Deployment notes:
- in production with versions Joule_Direct_API_2.103.1 and Joule_Direct_API_2.123.0 (as of September 2022)
- for the correct functioning of the Joule Direct API, we recommend the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 (when using an older version of the framework, there were crashes inside the COM object during its initialization in the TP8API_InitApi call)
