User - Console

The user Console is a special virtual user assigned to a particular operator console (the D2000 HI process). The special user type is given by their logon name. This name comprises the name of the D2000 HI process, e.g. SELF.HIP, and the suffix LOG. Name of the virtual user for the console SELF. HIP is then SELF.HIP.LOG. The sequence of characters ".HIP.LOG"' in the name defines, that it is a user Console. (Name of a user, created in the D2000 CNF process, may not include the sequence of characters mentioned before).

Special features of user Console

An object group and user's composition can be assigned to the user Console. User Console is characterized by the following features:

  • password definition is not allowed,
  • performing special functions is not allowed,
  • automatic logon to the console after starting the process D2000 HI,
  • if a composition is defined, it will be displayed immediately after starting the process D2000 HI,
  • the user of the console defines the operator console access (process D2000 HI) to objects during the time when no user is logged on (very important, e.g. for the presentation of alarms also at the time, when no user is logged on). If a user logs on, the effective access rights to objects are given by the integration of the console access rights and the user's access rights.
