Synchronization of configuration databases of the D2000 system
D2000 System allows to copy objects between two configuration databases - to synchronize them. The synchronization is performed by means of two programs:
-
D2000 CfgSynchro - is a standalone program that is used to copy
objects between two configuration databases. By means of user interface it is possible to identify
changed objects and subsequently synchronize the databases. It is particularly appropriate for
synchronization of databases, which were created as a copy of the original configuration database
but some changes have been performed in them separately.
The D2000 CfgSynchro utility comes in two basic versions (according to the database access).- The first version (cfgsynchro.exe) accesses to database via standard ODBC interface (Sybase, MSDE a Oracle).
- The other version (cfgsynchro_ora.exe) is designated for Oracle databases and uses its native OCI interface to access the database.
-
D2000 CfgSynchroAuto - is a non-interactive version of D2000
CfgSynchro that is used in case of redundant application servers
in order to synchronize configuration databases. The program performs a complete synchronization of
databases, which are identified through command line. This program is
available also in two versions:
- cfgsynchroauto.exe
- cfgsynchroauto_ora.exe
