Transition process alarms
Transition process alarms are generated by changing the states of I/O Tag or Eval Tag type objects. This type of process alarm is an acknowledgement-required one.
The status diagram of transition process alarms is in the following figure.
If the condition to start the alarm is met then the alarm flag, a flag of unacknowledged alarm and the type of alarm that has started, are set to a particular object value. Both the flags are cancelled after the alarm acknowledgement and the type of the alarm is set to the NoAlarm state.
Note: Only status process alarms are evaluated for a default value of I/O Tags. Transition alarms are ignored.
