User - monitoring changes in configuration
An object of User type has a special status in the system configuration due to these facts:
- it is an identifier of a person who works with the system or modifies his configuration,
- his configuration includes the access rights and permitted operations.
As the user directly influences the configuration or the application running, it is important to keep records about not only his activities but also about the changes in the configuration.
The activity of users (login, logout) is tracked in the System event logging. If this level of monitoring is insufficient, there can be used for full monitoring of objects of the User type.
The full monitoring records centrally not only the activities of the user (login/logout, password change, password expiration, ...) but also the changes in the configuration of all objects of User type. The monitoring is done by the continuous generating of extended information into the monitoring database by the D2000 Server.
