The D2000 application server requests license authorization from the authorization server regularly, approximately every hour. The validity period of a (successful) authorization is 4+4 days. If the authorization server is unavailable, the application runs in fully authorized mode for the first 4 days. After 4 days, the application switches to unauthorized, but still fully functional mode. During unauthorized mode, it displays a notification to logged-in users about operation in unauthorized mode (see the chapter Breach of license agreement). Any restarts of the D2000 application server do not affect the duration of authorization; the last successful authorization is stored on the application server. If the authorization is not renewed by the end of its 4+4 day days validity period, the D2000 application server will be terminated. Without authorization, the D2000 can only be operated in DEMO mode.
To configure licensing options, use the D2000 Application Manager, specifically the D2000 Instance Settings dialog.
